Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Mooresville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

o The focus of this project is two-fold: 1) to locate a new Traffic unit inside the existing facility and 2) to provide space needs analysis and recommendation use, to better accommodate existing employees and future growth for the Public Operations Facility. o The existing facility is 11 years old and houses workstations, offices, meeting rooms, and warehouse storage for municipal construction and maintenance departments. o The traffic control unit will consist of additional workstations and offices identified by a feasibility study o The project has an anticipated completion date of 1/1/2023. 1. Pre-design planning including assistance in the preparation of a schedule, preliminary cost estimates, and space needs evaluations. 2. Professional design services for the conversion of existing space to host new departments. Pursuant with State of North Carolina Statute 143--64.31, The Town of Mooresville is soliciting requests for qualifications from professional and experienced firms for a space needs analysis and plan for the renovation of the Town Public Operations Center. The goal of this project is to provide the Town of Mooresville renovation design documents and space needs evaluations for the existing facility which will be modified to better accommodate personnel, accommodate a future traffic unit, and accommodate future growth. Design firms responding to this Request for Qualifications, who satisfy the stated criteria shall be evaluated by Mooresville according to the criteria identified in this Request for Qualifications. The most qualified firm will be identified, and Town of Mooresville will request a proposal for professional services. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
