The City is soliciting bids for the purpose of contracting for the City's annual requirements for elevator maintenance. The resulting contract is anticipated for a term of up to five (5) years. The City of Battle Creek is soliciting bids from interested and qualified firms to provide elevator inspections, testing, and maintenance and as needed repair services. The inspections, testing and maintenance of all elevators (see Attachment B- Elevator List) shall be consistent with that prescribed by the respective elevator manufacturers and in compliance with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Elevator Code. Submission of additional terms, conditions or agreements with the bid document is grounds for deeming a bid nonresponsive and may result in bid rejection. The City reserves the right to reject any bids and to waive any informalities and minor irregularities defects in bids. Bids may be withdrawn in person by a bidder, or authorized representative, provided their identity is made known and a receipt is signed for the bid, but only if the withdrawal is made prior to the time set for receipt of bids. Bids are an irrevocable offer and may not be withdrawn within 90 days after opening date.
