Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, rentals, disposal/recycling of discarded materials, and incidentals necessary for the troubleshooting, servicing, maintenance, and repair of roll-up (overhead) doors and automatic gates and related components, which shall include all electrical and manual opening systems and remote opening devices, at various Caltrans owned properties, facilities, and maintenance stations in Caltrans District 12. A bid proposal over $388,000.00 will be deemed non-responsive and will be rejected. A Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal is not required, but DVBE participation is encouraged, and a DVBE incentive may apply to this IFB. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs and Micro Businesses (MB) are encouraged to submit bids Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause. If the successful bidder's bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. No work may commence without receipt of a valid Payment Bond. The Payment Bond must be in effect at all times for the duration of the Agreement.
