The Borough is seeking quotes for the following design/build project: 1. Roof Mounted heating and air-conditioning units and all associated ductwork and appurtenances for an operating system replacing the existing units. Also includes removal and disposal of existing units. Block off any ductwork that is not in use and make weather-tight. Existing electric service can be used. Also includes new drain lines for condensate, connected to the roof drain system. 2. Supply and install new three stage heating and air-conditioning units with a minimum of 150,000 BTU heating and 7.5 ton cooling (contractor to verify). Units shall be large enough to heat and cool the meeting room, men's and women's rest rooms, office and kitchen area. Existing duct work can be used. 3. Also includes replacement of gas line piping on and from the basement to the roof with new black iron pipe of the appropriate size; flexible gas pipe at each unit and ball valves for each unit. All units shall be controlled by a remote two-stage heating and cooling digital thermostat which shall be programmable and tamperproof. These controls shall be located in the meeting room where the existing controls are located. All bids are to include all necessary labor and materials for a complete working system. Bids in excess of $25,000 will be subject to the prevailing wage rates herein. The size of all rooms to be considered when sizing the units: A. Meeting room. 2,000 Sq Ft. with a maximum occupancy of 250 people. Current lighting is 1800 watts. A large two-sided fireplace is located in this room. Ceiling fans may not be taken into consideration when sizing air-conditioning. There are multiple windows and 7 doors. There is no insulation in the ceiling. B. Men's room is 140 Sq Ft. with an exhaust fan. C. Ladies room is 140 Sq Ft. with an exhaust fan. D. Administrative office is 170 Sq Ft. E. Kitchen is 400 Sq Ft with an exhaust fan. Contractor to verify the structural stability of the roof to support the new units. Appropriate measures must be taken to make sure the new units will be able to be housed on the roof. All bidders must provide a list of references for similar work recently completed including contact name and phone number or email address. Project must be completed by October 1, 2022.
