The Town of Fairfield (Town) on behalf of its Department of Public Works is seeking competitive bids from qualified contractors to provide and install all necessary materials, labor, tools and equipment to paint double yellow centerlines, white fog lines, stop bars, and other miscellaneous traffic markings for various roads and parking lots located in the Town of Fairfield. *Initial Award - July 15, 2022 through June 30, 2023 *Subsequent Renewals - July 1 - June 30 o All materials used will conform to the most recent State of Connecticut Department of Transportation's "Standard Specifications". All work done will conform to the specifications listed in the "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices." o Paint will be fast drying white or yellow, uniformly ground for even application. It shall be ready to use without thinning. o The paint shall dry fast enough to allow traffic to drive on it without damage or tracking within 5 minutes of application. o The majority of work is expected to be done at night. The Contractor must drop cones as he/she works. The Contractor will provide whatever equipment or labor is required to protect the lines until they dry sufficiently for traffic. Work must be scheduled at the least inconvenience to the motoring public.
