The primary task of the contractor is to provide design and construction services to supply and install a new outdoor skating rink facility. The facility will be located on 2nd Avenue NW, adjacent to the existing outdoor skate park. The site is currently manicured grass. The successful contractor will provide a team of experienced professionals to provide concept design and construction services for this important capital initiative. The anticipated final measurement of the new outdoor rink shall be approximately 85 feet wide x 200 feet long, with 28-foot radius corners. This will be a natural ice rink, no ice plant is required. The Town of Sundre is open to suggestions on high grade materials that have a long-life cycle and low maintenance. The following items are required: 1. Boards (prefer proper puck board construction) or suggested alternatives 2. Surrounding chain link enclosure on top of boards 3. One (1) tractor gate and five (5) man gates 4. Two (2) players benches and two penalty boxes. Please include option for both covered and uncovered players benches only. The covered area does not include the rink portion. 5. Provisions for outdoor lighting 6. Provisions for outdoor parking 7. Concrete surface that is multifunctional for pickleball and basketball in summer, including painting of lines. This will also include the supply and install of 2-4 basketball nets. 8. Optional Items: Provisions for install of skate friendly matting on walkway/benches, bench area to sit and put on skates. Costs for each item to be included as an added upgrade.
