Renovation of a military facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
1. This solicitation is to obtain services for replacing two compressors in a chiller as defined in this scope of work, located at Sector New Orleans, 200 Hendee Street, New Orleans, LA 70114. Period of performance: 30 calendar days from award. This applicable NAICS is 238990 and set-aside is 100% small-business. 2. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.sam.gov Federal Acquisition Regulation Clauses and Department of Labor construction wage rates are included in this solicitation and are applicable. 3. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. FAR 52.237-1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 36 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors, (FAR Part 36) evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached. The solicitation number is 70Z02922QNEWO0033 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) SF1442-14b form. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clauses and Department of Labor Wage Rates for Construction are included in this order and are applicable. Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR Part 36, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR Part 36 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes, but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR Part 36, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR Part 36. Where the word "offer/offeror" or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to "quote/quoter" or a derivative of that word. This is a small business set aside, the applicable NAICS code is 238990 and small business size standard is $16.5M. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract awarded to the offeror with the Lowest Price. Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.sam.gov. The US Coast Guard Sector New Orleans has a requirement to replace two compressors in a chiller, to include: The Contractor shall perform the following work within this project to remove and replace the existing two Cir-1 compressor units on #1 condenser, located on the 4th deck of Sector New Orleans. Contractor will provide and replace two compressor P/N ZP235KCE-YWD-251 units. Contractor will recover system refrigerant, and disconnect electrical and piping from the existing units. Contractor will disconnect and remove existing compressors from the #1 chiller. Contractor will connect all electrical, piping, and charge units with new refrigerant according to factory specifications. Contractor will leak test the unit with Sector representative present. Contractor will perform factory start-up of units with new compressors. Contractor will ensure proper cooling is maintained in the in the Sector building serviced by the #1 chiller and all equipment remains functional throughout the removal and installation process. Contractor will haul away any trash that may result from the work and leave the building just as it was before they arrived. Contractor will provide a one year parts and labor warranty for both new compressor units. Contractor will submit information of staff to Sector for proper screening and background checks prior to accessing any secured spaces. Contractor shall be certified HVAC technician.
