Renate Building 10 at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System East Campus. Work consists of construction and renovation activities associated with the Building 10 renovation project, with a construction magnitude between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Location: Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, East Campus, 2400 Hospital Road, Tuskegee, AL 36083. Requests for Information (RFIs) are due by Monday, August 10,2026 by 1:00 PM CST, via email to Chantel.Guest@va.gov. Late RFIs may not be accepted and offerors are responsible of ensuring questions are received on time. Responses to RFIs will be provided in question and answer form via a posted amendment at www.sam.gov. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This project will be a complete renovation of the existing Building 10 on the VA Medical Center Campus in Tuskegee, Alabama. Building 10 is a two-story brick building built in 1923. The building is approximately 12,800 GSF and includes an attic and a crawl space. The building is currently vacant and in poor condition. This project is to be a complete renovation of the building and will include abatement of all hazardous materials and demolition of all existing utilities. Demolition of the existing building includes the removal of all finishes, fixtures, interior walls, floors, lighting, electrical distribution, HVAC equipment, fire/alarm systems, IT, and plumbing systems. The renovation will also include the removal and replacement of the building's structure, including the floor and roof slabs, and the roof assembly. The exterior masonry walls will remain and will be shored-up while the renovation is occurring. The existing wood furring and plaster along the inside face of the exterior walls will be removed. All windows and exterior doors will be replaced. The exterior front entrance porch and stairs will be removed and replaced with a porch that reflects the original building design. Canopies will be added over the entry doors at the east and west wings, to reflect the original building design.
