Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Dickerson, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This historic pony-truss bridge was last rehabilitated in 2003. The 2021 ADT at the bridge is 25 vehicles per day. The structure is posted at 28,000 lbs for single and combination units and is located on a dead end road. Most emergency apparatus cannot utilize the bridge due to the weight restriction. In order to provide adequate emergency services, the project anticipates a partial structure replacement to provide adequate weight capacity. This bridge project has been identified as a high priority by the Division of Fire and Rescue. This project is in included in the City's or County's FY 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 28, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
