This solicitation is for a Service Contract for a 1-Year Term commencing October 15, 2022 for snow removal services in Greenstone. Four (4) Annual Renewal Terms apply to this contract. The scope of work is as follows: a. Rural Snow Windrow Removal: On-call service for the removal of driveway snow windrows (left by municipal plowing operations) for qualifying rural residential properties between the Camp 25 to Jellicoe geographic area. Windrow clearing operations shall commence after the municipal road has been plowed, to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Services or his/her designate. The work must be completed after the grader/plow truck has cleared the road, following the service objectives of the Winter Maintenance of Municipal Roads and Travel Ways Policy (Appendix A) and the Snow Windrow Removal Program Policy (Appendix B). (Appendix A & B are posted as separate documents.) Historically, service requirements consisted of approximately 14 residential properties situated between Geraldton and Jellicoe. The service demand is subject to change due to the variable nature of the municipal snow windrow removal program. On-Call dispatch is coordinated by the Geraldton Ward Public Works Working Supervisor. b. Snow Removal at Municipal Facilities: This contract may include regular snow removal at one or more municipal properties in the Rural West and Beardmore Wards, including the Beardmore Community Centre. Facilities may be added to the list of properties to service, as may be negotiated by the Municipality. The order-ofpriority of call-outs shall be determined by the Municipality.
