As of September 20, 2022, the project is anticipated tobe awarded on September 23, 2022. The County Commission of Buchanan County, Missouri, hereby advertises for bids on the following to wit: Chiller Installation The County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. In compliance with Section 285.530.2 RSMo, the successful vendor shall sign an affidavit that the entity has enrolled and participates in a federal work authorization program and that it does not knowingly employ any person who is an unauthorized alien in connection with this contract. The successful bidder shall comply with the requirements of 292.675 RSMo. The requirements include on-site employees to complete the ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program, which includes a course in construction safety and health approved by OSHA or a similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. Provisions of House Bill No. 294 of the Sixty-Ninth General Assembly apply to this project, and the prevailing hourly rate of wages in the locality for each craft and type of workmen needed to execute the contract, also the general prevailing wage rates for legal holiday and overtime work are shown in Annual Wage Order No. 29, Section 011 for Buchanan County issued by the Missouri Division of Labor Standards, Wage and Hour Section, Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri, a certified copy of which is on file in the office of the Owner and which is incorporated into and made a part of this specification. By virtue of statutory authority, preference shall be given to materials, products, supplies, provisions, and other articles, produced, manufactured, made or grown within the State of Missouri, where same are of a suitable character and can be obtained at reasonable market prices in the state and area of a quality suitable to the purpose intended and can be secured without additional cost over foreign products of other states. No bid may be withdrawn within 10 days from the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities therein, and to make the award in the best interest of the Owner.
