The Beaver Dam Unified School District is located in County, Wisconsin, and serves approximately 3300 students in grades 4K-12. The District has seven school facilities (five elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school), as well as a district office, a maintenance building, and numerous outdoor athletic facilities. In 2018, in alignment with the Districts Strategic Plan, the Board of Education approved a 5-year Facility Plan, which is annually updated. The District has invested in several projects to improve its facilities for students and the community; however, the District recognizes that there are some significant maintenance needs that cannot be addressed within the Districts existing budget. As part of the 5-year Facility Plan, the Board is seeking to establish a strategic plan to address the significant maintenance needs of its facilities; to ensure that students are being educated in an environment that support student growth and achievement; and to identify a plan for financing the projects that is sustainable and fiscally responsible. The District also wants to ensure that it is making efficient use of its buildings now and for the foreseeable future. In order to accomplish these objectives, the District is seeking a partner that can provide all of the information and recommendations that the District needs to make to make key decisions related to its facility needs The District is seeking a qualified and experienced firm to assist with the development of a comprehensive facilities improvement plan for the three identified sites. The selected firm will be expected to provide: Condition Survey: Identify and document current facility condition deficiencies and create a site-by-site condition assessment report that includes, but is not limited to Any questions concerning this RFP should be directed via email to Anne-Marie Malkovich, Director of Business Services, at malkovicha@bdusd.org no later than 12 pm on July 18, 2022. Responses will be provided as timely as practicable. The tentative timeline for the facilities assessment is to commence in late summer 2022 and be completed prior to October 1, 2022. Week of August 1, 2022: Review of proposals by Evaluation Committee August 8, 2022: Recommendation made to the Board of Education The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
