Site work for a water / sewer project in Shoreline, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work shall include, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install an operating impressed current cathodic protection system designed to prevent corrosion on the external buried steel surfaces of the City's Wastewater Lift Stations 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, and 13. The work shall include installation of all specialized cathodic protection materials and standard electrical equipment for the interconnecting DC cabling and AC power supply. The work for providing the AC Power supply is depicted on Contract Plan Sheets C0.0 and E3.0 through E3.3. The work shall include providing a 115 V single phase 20 Amp circuit to each of the Rectifier locations. Requests for an interpretation or questions in regard to this project must be directed via email to Janette Mallari at jmallari@shorelinewa.gov. Questions via phone will not be accepted. Bidders shall submit questions no later than 02:00 PM, July 5, 2022, Pacific local time. A contract bond is required equal to 100% of the amount of the contract, including sales tax. This project is a Public Work as defined in RCW 39.04.010. The Awarded Contractor shall comply with all state laws relating to employment and wages. The hourly wages to be paid laborers, workers, or mechanics shall not be less than the prevailing rates for an hour's work in the same trade or occupation in King County. The State of Washington prevailing wage rates applicable for this public works project may be found at the following website address of the Department of Labor and Industries, and is made part of this contract electronically. The applicable effective date for prevailing wages for this project is the bid submittal date. A copy of the applicable prevailing wage rates is also available for viewing at the offices of the City, located at 17500 Midvale AVE N, Shoreline, WA 98133-4905. Upon request, the City will mail a hard copy of the applicable prevailing wages for this project. The cost of filing Prevailing Wage forms with the State Department of Labor and Industries shall be at no additional cost to the City. No payment will be made on this contract until the contractor and each and every subcontractor has submitted a 'Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages' that has been approved by the Department of Labor and Industries. No final payment or release of any retainage will be made until the contractor and each and every subcontractor has submitted an 'Affidavit of Wages Paid' following L&I filing requirements, and that has been approved by the Department of Labor and Industries. Intents and Affidavits must show the locations where work is performed. Contractor is responsible for filing forms pursuant to L&I requirements. At time of bid these requirements were known to be as follows: Contractor shall file an Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages upon execution of the contract. An Affidavit of Wages Paid is to be filed by the Contractor at contract close out. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept the bid of the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, to call for new bids, or waive any informalities in the bidding. Upon award of the contract, the successful Bidder will receive a Notice of Award and Contract Documents. The awarded Bidder (Contractor) must sign and return all Contract Documents to the City within ten (10) business days. If not returned within ten (10) business days, the City retains the right to cancel the award and go to the next lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
