Site work for a water / sewer project in Port au Choix, Newfoundland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase process: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers; the second phase (Phase Two) will invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The qualification list will expire within 60 days or upon award of a contract in Phase Two, whichever is earlier, and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation. Bids must be submitted using the CPC connect service. The solicitation number must be identified in the CPC Connect message field of all electronic transfers. Further instruction is provided in the Invitation to Qualify document. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement for construction and installation of two floating dock modules for the SAR lifeboat station in Port aux Choix, NL. In general, work under this contract will consist of but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: .1 Construction and installation of two treated timber floating dock modules. .2 Removal & disposal of existing floating dock and anchor chains. .3 Removal & reinstatement of gangway. .4 Relocation & levelling of existing concrete anchor blocks. .5 Supply and installation of new anchor chain and concrete sinker blocks. .6 Removal and disposal of any anchor blocks that will not be re-used. Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site are to take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. The Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) is available at Buyandsell.gc.ca. Suppliers that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Amendments, when issued, will be available on GETS. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that all amendments issued prior to closing have been obtained and addressed in the submitted bid. In keeping with Canada's commitment to green procurement, only electronic distribution of tenders and associated documents and/or construction drawings is available. Bidders can download and print the documents or bring them or send them by email to a print shop or other professional printing services for printing. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of, the bid and contract documents. The estimated value for this opportunity is in the range of $100,001 to $500,000. Bid Security will be a requirement for this tender during Phase Two.
