Bids must be sealed and endorsed on the outside of the envelope with the name of the bidder and the project bid upon. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time will neither be read nor considered. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. Bid award is expected to be finalized on July 26, 2022 at the regularly scheduled board of trustees meeting. No bidder shall take any exception to any requirement of the specifications. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Bids shall be submitted in a lump sum. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than October 31, 2022. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1) A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond or 2) a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of Catawba Island Township Trustees, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. The bid guaranty must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code and the Instructions to Bidders. All work shall be carried out in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that apply to the work. Any project specification item in conflict with a federal, state, or local law, rule or regulation, shall be void. This project may fall under the State of Ohio Prevailing Wage requirements if threshold is met.
