This project shall be conducted in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents, all of which may be obtained as per section A-2 of this Notice Inviting Bids. The project consists of the following: Placement of asphalt surface and rehabilitation treatment (grind & overlay). Removal and replacement of ADA curb ramps, raising monument and utility boxes, raising storm & sewer access covers, placing pavement markers and markings as needed along with other miscellaneous work. Mailed bids must be received by the City Clerk prior to the hour and date of the bid opening and shall be addressed to the City Clerk, 300 First Street, Woodland, CA 95695. Hand delivery of bids on the day of the bid opening shall be made to the City Clerk at the address set forth above. Any questions regarding the project shall be submitted in writing to CIP@cityofwoodland.org. All bids must be sealed and accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the City in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. For the purposes of this Section, "the amount of the bid" includes all additive alternates but does not include deductive alternates. The cash, cashier's check, certified check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a written contract within ten (10) work days after being requested to do so. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder fails to comply within said time. Upon an award to the successful bidder, the security of bidders shall be returned in a reasonable period of time. Bidders are hereby notified that in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 22300, securities may be substituted for any monies which the City may withhold pursuant to the terms of this Contract to ensure performance. Prior to the performance of any work hereunder, the successful bidder shall be required to furnish both a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundres percent(100%) of the contract price and a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
