Renovation of a municipal facility in Lachine, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of an office development.
Upgrades and repairs to the Maison du Brasseur in the framework of the fixed assets preservation program. Being a part of the Guy Descary administrative and cultural complex, the Maison du Brasseur currently house administrative offices of the Department of Culture, Sport, Recreation and Social Development as well as a few other organizations. The work will address interior and exterior architectural and structural upgrades, renovations of electrical and mechanical systems of the building. TIMELINE: The project was put indefinitely on hold by the owner who is seeking required approvals and funding for the project implementation. Two issued Requests for proposals (LAC-PUB-2119 and LAC-PUB-2212) for design services were cancelled because of the cost overruns. Meanwhile the owner has proceed to partial implementation of the project work and awarded the firm Les Couvreurs Duro-Toit pour repairs of this facilities roofing following an inviter sub trade tender. Future of the project is not determined. If/when a new RFP for design of substantial work at this facility is issued, it will be followed in a new separate report. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
