Renovation of a municipal facility in Little Falls, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Sealed bids will be received by the Township of Little Falls, 225 Main Street, Little Falls, New Jersey in the County of Passaic and State of New Jersey. for NEW FIRE ALARM SYSTEM FOR THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING COMPLEX TOWNSHIP OF LITTLE FALLS PASSAIC COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid Furnish and install a new fire alarm system in accordance with the specifications provided herein. Principal items of work in the project include: SCOPE OF WORK Requesting a proposal to replace the existing EDWARDS FIRE ALARM SYSTEM with a NEW FIRE-LITE ADDRESSABLE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. The successful vendor (the vendor) will produce a set of product data sheets and a written description of the work for the purpose of obtaining a permit from the Township of Little Falls. Upon receipt of the permit, The Vendor will procure the equipment required. The vendor technician will pre-configure and program the new panel and at a mutually acceptable time will power down the existing system, demo the existing panel and field equipment, install and configure the new panel, install all new field devices and appliances. The vendor technicians will power the new system and perform a 100% system test. The vendor technicians will attend the final acceptance test, train key personnel in the proper care and maintenance of the new system. Furnish and Install: 1 Fire-lite MS9200UDLS fire alarm control panel with battery backup 1 Remote LCD annunciator 28 Addressable single action manual pull stations 88 Addressable photoelectric smoke detectors w/base 3 Addressable heat detectors w/base 5 Addressable duct detectors with integral relay 8 Addressable single monitor modules 10 Addressable relay/control modules (Duct detector shut-down, elevator control, etc) 29 Multi-candela horn/strobes 8 Multi-candela strobes 1 Remote NAC power supply with battery backup \NOTE: Field wiring deficiencies or repairs shall be included with this proposal as an addition to the work to be performed after being identified and approved by the Township. The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the award of contract. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the FIRE ALARM SYSTEM The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder. Contractor shall be responsible to the Owner as liquidated damages for the sum of $1,500.00 per day
