The shared use path includes a tunnel under the CXS railroad tracks, in the vicinity of Clinch Avenue, to Metron Center Way and then extend a bicycle and pedestrian shared use path from the tunnel to the existing Third Creek Greenway at Tyson Park. The scope of work will include project design, preparation of NEPA documentation, obtaining all necessary permits for the project, utility coordination, extensive coordination with CSX and KXHR railroads, and preparing bid specifications and construction plans. This project is funded in part by TDOT Surface Transportation Block Grant-Unlimited, Carbon Reduction Program, and Multimodal-Transportation Alternatives Program grant funds and, as such, all project phases will need to be coordinated with the TDOT Local Programs office.
