Project Category Code: Sanitary Sewer (Gravity) Description: The work includes furnishing of all materials and equipment and performance of the following work, per the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents (PS & CD): The Base Bid work for the above contract includes new 15-inch sanitary along Louis Sorenson Road, from the SE Frontage Rd. to International Dr. This work also includes boring the sanitary under International Dr., clearing and grubbing, driveway replacement, restoration and erosion control work. Major work items and approximate quantities for which bids are requested include: 5,100 LF of 15-inch PVC sanitary sewer, 200 LF of 15-inch PVC bored sanitary sewer, 17 sanitary sewer manholes and seals, and 13,000 SY of landscape restoration. All bidders, and sub-contractors, must file a "3-Year Contractor's Qualification Application," and other documents with the Bid (see Instructions to Bidders). NOTE: ALL applications that were previously approved under the last 3-year cycle expired on 1/31/2022. Therefore, ALL bidders and subcontractors that did NOT submit an application form for bidding on a project after the above date, MUST submit a new application form and $75.00 application fee in order to be considered for this project. All completed 3-Year Contractor's Qualification Applications should be submitted directly to the Village of Mount Pleasant. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Owner as liquidated damages. The Owner has the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner, subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price.
