Demolition, site work and new construction of a communication facility in English, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a communication facility; for the construction of a communication facility; and for site work for a communication facility.
The Crawford County Commissioners will be accepting proposals from qualified communications specialists to replace an existing wooden shed that currently houses the communications repeaters for Crawford County Dispatch Fire/EMS, Crawford County Highway Department, Crawford County School Corporation, English Fire Department, and internet services. The work shall include the following: All equipment needed for replacement of the building, with an industrial-grade communications building similar to those used at cell tower sites, including: 1- Approximate building size of no less than 10x16 feet 2- Place and secured on a level concrete slab 3- Wired with 200 amp breaker service with multiple outlets 4- Lights and switches 5- Air conditioning for heat control 6- Grounding halo inside building for equipment grounding 7--Electrical transferred from old building to new building 8- External grounding of building from internal halo system 9- Collaboration with equipment holders in present building to provide adequate time for them to move equipment to new building, 10- Removal of previous building once all equipment has been transferred 11- Leveling of site of previous building and seeding with appropriate grass seed. Proposals should include a description of building proposal offered, the cost of the proposal, and references. Proposals should include all costs, including labor and travel. The proposals shall be binding for a period of ninety (90) days from July 12, 2022. Criteria to be used to evaluate the proposals submitted shall include: - Cost - Specifics of building proposal submitted - Expertise in the area of services to be provided Pricing will be a factor in the evaluation of the proposal; however, significant weight will be given to expertise in the services to be performed. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Crawford County Auditor, Christian Howell, by telephone at 812- 338-2601 for details. The Commissioners will review the proposals at a public meeting to be held on July 12, 2022 at 4:00 pm EST. The County reserves the right to enter into discussions with any persons who submit proposals. The County reserves the right to take the proposals under advisement and to reject any and all proposals.
