Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Washington, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Improvements to Lafayette Avenue and Hickory Street / Improvements to Lafayette Avenue and Adams Court Township of Washington and Borough of Westwood Bergen County, New Jersey The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid - Township of Washington: The scope of work includes the milling and resurfacing of Lafayette Avenue from 400' south of Ridgewood Road to Cardinal Lane and Hickory Street from 200' south of Ridgewood Road to Bergen Avenue including replacement/installation of curbs, sidewalks, ADA curb ramps, resetting castings, and other incidentals. Base Bid - Borough of Westwood: The scope of work includes the milling and resurfacing of Lafayette Avenue from Ridgewood Road to Cardinal Lane and Adams Court from approximately 140' north of Franklin Court to approximately 470' north of Franklin Court including replacement/installation of curbs, sidewalks, ADA curb ramps, resetting castings, and other incidentals. Alternate Bid - Washington Township The scope of work includes the milling and resurfacing of Hickory Street from Ridgewood Road to 200' south of Ridgewood Road including replacement/installation of curbs, sidewalks, ADA curb ramps, resetting castings, and other incidentals. Principal items of work in the project include: Base Bid - Township of Washington: 6,755 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 1,015 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course 85 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick 225 L.F. 9" X 18" Concrete Vertical Curb Base Bid 2- Borough of Westwood: 5,350 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 805 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course 150 L.F. 9" X 18" Concrete Vertical Curb Alternate Bid - Washington Township 630 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 95 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course 1 UNIT Reconstructed Inlet, Type B, Using New Casting The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the Improvements to Lafayette Avenue and Hickory Street / Improvements to Lafayette Avenue and Adams Court. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
