Renovation of a residential development in Allen, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The City of Allen receives CDBG funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and in turn makes those funds available to low/moderate income homeowners within the City of Allen through both rehabilitation and urgent repair programs. All repairs are intended to meet minimum standards as defined by HUD, the City of Allen, and outlined in the Texas Department of Housing and Community Development Minimum Construction Standards. The program that the contractors will be assisting on includes urgent home repair and full rehabilitation of single family dwellings, based on income verification. The grant funds for the program are provided by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) administered by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program is allocated annually and administered through the City of Allen as a participating jurisdiction. Projects awarded under this program generally range from $10,000 for urgent repairs up to a maximum of $40,000 for full rehabilitation projects. The CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Program is intended to help low-income homeowners make necessary repairs and ensure compliance with health and safety codes. The City has been administering the Home Rehabilitation and Urgent Repair Programs for over 17 years. For the benefit of contactors who have been involved in the past it should be noted that the administration of the rehabilitation program is not changing. This request for quote process is an effort to further align with the City's Purchasing Policies and in turn HUD's guidelines for program administration. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of services for which the respondent must be qualified and prepared to provide shall include, but not be limited to HVAC diagnostics, evaluation, installation, uninstallation, materials disposal, and repair services.
