Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Corydon, Iowa. Completed plans call civil work for a wastewater treatment plant.
Improvements to the wastewater treatment facility include the installation of submerged, fixed-film media reactors. The reactors consist of a clean gravel bed that provides surface area for nitrifying bacteria to grow and populate. An ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system will also be installed to inoculate E.coli prior to final discharge. Work also includes structures, grading, utilities, controls, seeding, maintenance and compliance with a stormwater pollution protection plan, and all other miscellaneous work required to complete the project in accordance with plans and specifications. The project is located approximately 1,250 ft South of E. South Street between S. Lafayette Street and South Johnson Street.
