Renovation of a municipal facility in East Hartford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of April 26, 2024, this project has been completed. The Town is moving in next week. Work under this contract includes East Hartford Town Hall - MEP Upgrades / Renovations in the Town of East Hartford and renovations to the Cultural Community Center. It also includes other appurtenant work such as maintenance and protection of traffic. The project bid packages include: 1.1 Final Cleaning 2.1 Selective Demolition & Abatement 4.1 Masonry & Stone 5.1 Structural Steel & Misc. Metals 6.1 General Trades 7.1 Roofing System 9.1 Gypsum Drywall 9.2 Acoustical Ceilings 9.3 Flooring & Tile 9.4 Painting 22.1 Plumbing System 23.1 HVAC System 26.1 Electrical System 31.1 Sitework & Landscaping The Town has retained the services of Downes Construction Company, LLC as their Owner's Project Manager (OPM) who will be considered an agent of the owner. Each Subcontractor and their lower tier subcontractors must review, sign and adhere to the requirements of the Project Labor Agreement (PLA) governing this project. All questions regarding bidding procedures, bidding documents and construction procedures are to be directed in RFI form to the OPM at mdellaccio@downesco.com. All answers will be published by written Addendum. Extension of the RFI deadline may only be revised by written addendum. Questions received verbally will not be answered. The RFI submission deadline is seven (7) business days prior to the bid due date at 12 noon EST. Bid security in the form of a 5% bid bond, payable to the Town of East Hartford, is required of all bidders and a 100% Performance Bond will be required of the awarded bidder. The Town will make an initial determination of the Lowest Responsible Bidder based on the Town's best interest. The successful bidder will enter into a contract with the Town of East Hartford that will be based on the Contract Documents for their Bid Package Scope of Work utilizing the Town of East Hartford Form of Agreement Municipal Corporation (Town of East Hartford) and Subcontractor (Trade Packages) as amended to be job specific with the provided A201 Without Alteration or Qualification. That bidder must then complete and return the following documents within ten (10) calendar days in order to be considered for a formal bid award: Certificate of Insurance (To be provided by Contractor) List of Proposed Subcontractors (To be provided by Contractor) All bidders are requested to note that the award of this Contract is subject to the following conditions and contingencies: 1. The approval of such governmental agencies as may be required by law. 2. The appropriation of adequate funds by the proper agencies.
