Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and educational facility.
As of January 5, 2024, construction of this project has been completed, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The scope of work on this project involves relocating and refurbishing an existing mobile trailer/classroom unit at the Easton Elementary School site, to be repurposed into a Community Center space. There will be minimal site/civil work in preparing the new pad location and stairs/ramps and sidewalks; hauling the trailer across the site to its new location; some structural foundation work; limited plumbing and electrical work tying back into utilities at the new location; and some interior walls and finishing work. Technical questions concerning this bid should be submitted in writing to John Faron at jfaron@moseleyarchitects.com by 5:00PM, Monday, February 20, 2023. Compliance with the City of Winston-Salem's M/WBE program is required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the specifications. The M/WBE subcontracting goals for this project are 10% MBE, 9% WBE and must be met separately. The low bidder who fails to meet said goals must submit Affidavit 'D' and their full Good Faith Effort documentation within 24 hours. Likewise, an Affidavit 'C' is required of the apparent low bidder who meets the M/WBE goals.
