For the improvement of a certain section of STATE ROUTE 2035 bridge over I-81 in LUZERNE COUNTY, Pittston TOWNSHIP, SR 2035 Section 354. The location of the project is as follows: From a point approximately 6 miles North of the intersection with SR 2036 at Segment 0210 Offset 1413 (STA 535+40) to a point approximately 1/2 mile South of the intersection with SR 0315 at Segment 0220 Offset 0395 (STA 541+50) along SR 2035, Suscon Road, Pittston Township. The project involves the replacement of an existing 2-span continuous WF beam bridge with a 2-Span Composite Steel Plate Girder Bridge over I-81. The project will slightly raise the profile over Interstate 81 to achieve a minimum vertical clearance of 16'-9 1/8". The guiderail on all approaches will be brought up to standards and the pavement on the approaches along SR 2035 will be reconstructed. Other work includes excavation, full depth bituminous paving bridge approach, drainage, guiderail, temporary traffic control, signing, temporary concrete barrier, landscaping, E & S Control measures, pavement markings, delineators, removal of existing bridge, epoxy surface treatment for bridge deck, temporary excavation support & protection system, water line relocation and other miscellaneous construction, all within a total length of 410 feet (0.078 miles) as indicted on the approved drawings included in the bid package.
