Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Mechanical Work. All piping, hydrants, valves, trenching and backfill, street removal and repair for the installation of all water service plumbing associated with drinking fountains for people and dogs as shown on the plans. Sidewalks and plaza paving, subgrade preparation and excavation. Square Yard price includes subgrade preparation, grading, construction of sidewalks and plaza. This item also includes all forming, expansion joints, curing compound, jointing and any other associated work for proper construction. 6' Chain Link Fence. Unit price shall include but not limited to fence materials, posts, rails, braces, infill fabric, fittings, excavation of post holes, concrete encasement of posts and all appurtenances necessary for proper installation of the new fence. 6'x4' Swing Gate. Unit price includes fabrication, freight, and installation of new swing gate. Work shall include but is not limited to gate materials, posts, rails, braces, infill fabric, fittings, excavation of post holes, concrete encasement of posts and all appurtenances necessary for proper installation of the new gate. 18' Cantilever Gate (12' opening). Unit price includes fabrication, freight, and installation of new swing gate. Work shall include but is not limited to gate materials, posts, rails, braces, infill fabric, fittings, excavation of post holes, concrete encasement of posts and all appurtenances necessary for proper installation of the new gate .Mow Strip. Unit price includes but is not limited to crushed rock and edger with fasteners as shown on plans and details. Labor, excavation, soil compaction, in-field utility verifications, finishing work, and installation. All work is to be completed on or before January 1, 2025. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond by a surety company registered to do business in the State of Iowa, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price and made payable to the City of Council Bluffs The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, a certificate of insurance and a certificate of equal employment opportunity and comply with minimum wage provisions as established by the U.S. Department of Labor. If a bidder has any questions, or requires a clarification or interpretation of the plans or specifications, or if such bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, bidder should at once notify the Owner, who, with time permitting, will issue a written instruction in the form of an addendum to all prime bidders of record.
