Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hagerstown, Maryland. Design plans call for the renovation of a 30,786-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and laboratory facility.

As of October 10, 2024, an architect has been selected and this project is in the design phase and pending funding. This project is included in the Washington County's FY 2024-2033 CIP. This renovation project of the 30,786 GSF Advanced Technology Center (ATC) will consist of renovating and configuring the building for use of offices, classrooms and labs. The project will include upgrades to the HVAC system; reconfiguring the classroom core on the first floor of the building for a more efficient layout and use; improving lighting and the classrooms and labs on the second floor of the building; and a general updating of the interior finishes. Security will also be improved with addition of the secure room access and security cameras. Also included will be updating the bridge that connects the ATC and the CBES Buildings. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
