Subject to conditions prescribed by the undersigned, Prequalification Questionnaires from Contractors licensed as follows: Required Contractor License: B- General Building Contractor and C-20: Warm Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor The prequalified Contractors will competitively bid for a lump-sum contract. Replace rooftop AHU at the end of its service life at the UCSD Garden View Medical Plaza, 1200 Garden View Road, Encinitas, CA 92024. The new unit will provide increased air flows to maintain cleanroom pressurization, humidity, and temperature serving the Chemo Compounding Cleanroom, and Hazardous Receiving and Storage room in the 2nd floor Infusion Pharmacy. The new HVAC unit and related condenser, rooftop ducting will be installed and other improvements constructed by contractor while the existing unit continues to serve the pharmacy to minimize down time to existing operations. The new HVAC unit is to be furnished by the contractor, and anticipated lead time to receive the HVAC and condenser equipment is six (6) months. The contractor can commence rooftop and interior work at any time prior to equipment delivery with two (2) weeks prior notice to UCSD. The University seeks Contractors with demonstrated experience in Pharmacy, Cleanroom and HVAC renovations within an operational facility. Specific experience requirements include: work within a medical office building with limited staging area, work within an operational facility, HVAC replacement and/or addition. Estimated Project Duration: 8 months The Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $2,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years. The Contractor must have demonstrated experience on their best three (3) comparable projects with the Contractor providing services as General Contractor within the last ten (10) years. Projects should have possessed the following construction challenges: urban site with limited construction and staging areas, ability to work in areas sensitive to noise, and work in operational facilities.
