Site work for a road / highway in Utqiagvik, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.
In September 2017, a severe storm damaged sections of roadway maintained by the North Slope Borough in Utqiagvik. The project areas affected are Stevenson Street Site 5 (vicinity of Tahak Street, as detailed on Project Worksheet 10) At Stevenson Site 5, storm surge and flooding damaged approximately 600 feet of road surface of Stevenson Street between Tahak Street and Okakok Street. Further detail regarding the project location and specific damages can be found in the Exhibit A (Scope of Services). This project is a joint effort between NSB, FEMA and the State of Alaska. THIS CONTRACT IS PAID THROUGH A COMBINATION OF 75% FEDERAL AND 25% STATE FUNDS THROUGH DISASTER GRANT 4351 DR-AK. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
