No definite date for the rebid.** The Project is located at 3971 Old Buckingham Road in Powhatan County, Virginia and includes the expansion of the existing Powhatan County Fire Station #1. Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: Civil, Structural, Architectural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Work. Powhatan County, Virginia is seeking sealed bids from qualified and licensed contractors for the expansion of the existing Powhatan County Fire Station #1 located at 3971 Old Buckingham Road. Project includes 2,212 square footage additions to the living quarters and apparatus bay support sides of the building. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, tools, materials, testing, transportation, supervision, permits, services, and incidentals to complete the project. The original Fire Station was designed and constructed with approximately 8,700 sq. ft of living space. The current living space is no longer sufficient to support volunteer and career staff. The current bunkroom has limited space. The only available showers are in the public bathrooms. The dayroom will only accommodate 5-8 people. There is no fitness area, and the kitchen is inadequately sized to accommodate the present occupants. Fire Station No. #1 is the primary location for fire suppression services in the County. An expansion of the facility is needed in order to support a crew of 10 personnel on a 24/7/365 basis.
