**As of August 03, 2022, no bids received, no information for rebid.** The intent of this work is to mitigate the water intrusion and reduce humidity within the basement of Tootin' Hills Elementary school utilizing a drainage system of your design and dehumidifiers. The right is reserved to reject any or all submittals or to waive defects in same if it be deemed in the best interest of the Town of Simsbury. Tootin Hills is a 57,000 sq. ft. elementary school that serves grades K-6. Originally constructed in 1954, it has benefitted from additions made in 1991, and 2000. The school is one floor and is situated on a predominantly flat, low-lying site. - The basement is located beneath the original school site and experiences significant water intrusion as the water table rises seasonally. The basement consists of two levels. The lowest level is the larger of the two and houses the boilers, water heater, and circulating pumps. Floor drains from the upper level empty into a sump in the lower level which is served by a pair of sump pumps. The upper level has three smaller rooms that contain the fire pump, electrical service, and water meter respectively. - Water intrusion can be seen around the perimeter of the basement walls with seepage apparent in each of the 4 rooms, and as a result many of the mechanical systems are suffering from rust and corrosion.
