Site work and new construction of a fitness / recreation center in Coaling, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.

Plans and specifications will be issued to General Contractors licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors as required under the provisions of Chapter 8, Title 34 of the 1975 Code of Alabama. Only Bids of such contractors invited and so licensed prior to the date of this notice will be considered. Sets retained by successful bidder will be refunded deposit subject to reductions for incurred cost of document printing, shipping, and handling, and will retain additional available printed sets at same cost. In addition to Printed sets, General Contractors, Subcontractors and dealers may procure sets of plans and specifications in electronic PDF form from the Architect for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set. Due to the nature adherent in electronic media, it is the responsibility of the bidder to verify that all data in the PDF format is complete and identical to that of the printed plan and specifications sets. Any provided electronic media is provided as a convenience to the bidder, and only the original printed plan and specification sets are considered the Bid Documents, unless the items are only issued electronically, such as Addenda items. Bids must be submitted on bid forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. AIA Document A104-2007, Standard Abbreviated Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, including Exhibit A, Determination of the Cost of the Work, issued by the American Institute of Architects, includes the General Conditions of the Contract, and is part of the specifications for this project, except as modified by the Supplemental Conditions. Front End Documents of the Specifications (which will include a Sample of AIA Document A104-2007, Supplement to AIA instructions to Bidders, Proposal Form, and Supplementary Conditions to AIA General Conditions) is to follow and be issued electronically via email to all bidders by Addendum. The work, as described under the Base Bid and any combination of Alternatives, shall be substantially completed within 200 days of the Date of Commencement. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250.00 per day will be assessed to the Contractor for each calendar day of delay in completing work beyond scheduled date of Substantial Completion. Right is reserved by the Owner to accept or reject any and all bids and waive technicalities. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of 60 days after the date of bid submission.
