Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a Bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Rocky River, or a consent of surety together with a certified or cashiers check or letter of credit on a solvent bank in Cuyahoga County made payable to the City of Rocky River in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as prescribed in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. The City of Rocky River reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which is deemed in the best interest of the City. The work contemplated consists of the removal and replacement of existing 4" sidewalk, removal and replacement of curb ramps, and placement of detectable warning devices. Curb construction appurtenant to reconstruction of curb ramps shall be performed and cost shall be built in to unit price of curb ramp replacement. There shall be no separate payment for this item. Any roots, one (1) inch or greater in diameter within the dripline of the tree that prevent installation of concrete to outlined specifications and must be cut shall be pruned with a concrete saw containing a diamond blade.The work contemplated shall include the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, materials and supplies for such other work as is herein described and in accordance with any contract drawing.
