Bids for Completion for the Fire Tower Relocation, Design/Build project at Scioto Grove Metro Park The Substantial Completion Date for the project is December 30, 2022. The project is subject to Prevailing Wage requirements of Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4115. Each bid shall contain the full name and address of each person or company interested in the same and shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of (i) a bid guaranty and contract bond in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.54 and 153.571 naming the Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District as obligee for the total amount of the Bid, including all add alternates, or (ii) a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, including all add alternates, as prescribed by Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54. Metro Parks reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid, the right to waive irregularities in any proposal, and the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof. The successful contractor will be responsible for: o Furnishing all design, engineering, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, tools and transportation, and performing all operations in connection with items needed to complete dismantling, transporting, regalvanizing, restoring and rebuilding the fire tower for public use. o Providing a guarantee/warranty of materials and installation of a minimum five (5) years on all materials and labor associated with this project. Obtaining all applicable licenses and permits and paying applicable fees associated with the installation of the fire tower structure. Permits shall be received from the city of Grove City. Working with Metro Parks on developing operational and maintenance standards for the fire tower by offering suggestions based on the successful bidder's experience with similar projects. Provide training of Metro Parks staff in terms of routine preventative maintenance of the associated structure so that Metro Parks is aware of how to keep the structure viable for an extended period of time (i.e. twenty-five years).
