Description of the Project: The City of Morehead First Street Streetscape Renovation, Phase 2 Project consists of: New construction will consist of demolition, concrete sidewalks and aprons, steps, railings, concrete curbs, storm drainage, asphalt, crosswalks, site lighting, utility infrastructure, a pedestrian bridge and other miscellaneous items. All work must comply with the requirements of the Federal-Aid Highway Program, Project Development Guide for Local Public Agencies. Successful bidder will make themselves familiar with all Federal Highway Program rules, guidelines, local, State and Federal laws. Successful bidder will provide City of Morehead copies of Liability, Workers Compensation, City Occupational License and Performance/Bid Bond equal to amount of total bid. All bidders and DBE subcontractors must be pre-qualified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. The bidder shall certify that it has secured participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises ("DBE") in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total value of this contract and that the DBE participation is in compliance with the requirements of 49 CFR 26 and the policies of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet pertaining to the DBE Program. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, payable to Owner, in amount not less than 5% of bid. Successful Bidder shall provide an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of (100%) of the bid amount.
