Site work for a water / sewer project in Athens, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project will rebid at a future date. Construction of the Athens New Well No. 8 The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, and Specifications, Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond. The Proposal Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check Drawn on a Solvent Illinois Bank or Trust Company Made Payable to the City of Athens, or a Bid Bond Issued by a Surety Licensed to Conduct Business in the State of Illinois and Appearing on the U.s. Treasury Department's Most Current List (Circular 570, as Amended), in the Amount of Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid. The Bid Bond May Be Retained by the City of Athens, as a Guaranty That if the Proposal Is Accepted, the Bidder Will Execute the Contract and File an Acceptable Performance Bond and Payment Bond Within Fifteen (15) Days After the Award of the Contract. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works Are Subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 Ilcs 130/1-12). The Award of Contracts on This Project Shall Be Predicated Upon Competitive Bidding, With Award Being Made to the Lowest Responsive, Responsible Bidder. Said Lowest Bidder Shall Be Determined for the Contract by Summarizing the Applicable Low Base Bids. The City of Athens Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive All Informalities in the Bids. No Bids May Be Withdrawn for a Period of Sixty (60) Days Subsequent to the Specified Time for Receipt of Bids.
