The Village is considering the adaptive reuse of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and improved shore protection/beach enhancement measures at the public beach. The concept under consideration involves implementing shore protection measures designed to protect the WTP from damage and provide for suitable beach area for the public when lake levels are within the 80th percentile of their high range. Additionally, the WTP would be reused to provide a number of amenities, primarily supporting beach use.
