The City of Angleton (the "City" or "Owner") seeks Request for Proposals for the renovation of the project described below. The successful Contractor will contract directly with the City and will work cooperatively with the City and the architect to successfully complete the full scope of the project within the project budget and on schedule This project will include selective demolition of the existing interior, and selected areas of exterior egress. The intended use of the completed building is to provide a more efficient layout with updated equipment to better serve the staff of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Lab and further ensure water quality. There will be an office and control room for employees, a break room, a larger unisex restroom, and lab space. The existing equipment room will be enclosed. The existing building is approximately 1,400 sq. ft. and all renovations on the interior will take place on the second floor. Contract start date Tentatively third week of August Deadline for questions and clarifications 2:00 p.m. - July 19, 2022 From the issuance of this RFP until the contract award, communications concerning this solicitation, its evaluation, and negotiations are formal. All correspondence must be in writing and transmitted directly to Martha Eighme at meighme@angleton.tx.us. The Proposer will examine the estimated cost range for this Project as it relates to the bond requirements and provide proof of evidence that the Proposer has the ability to provide a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the estimated contract cost range amount. Bidders are required to submit with their bids a bid security in the form of a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the contractor's bid contract amount pledging that the successful Bidder will, within 10 calendar days after notification of acceptance of its bid enter into a written contract with the City as described in this bid, as evidence by the unconditional execution and delivery of such contract, and furnish payment and performance bonds, evidence of insurance and other submittals within 10 days thereafter, and the Bidder's timely fulfillment of any and all other preconditions expressly set forth in the Contract Documents. Contractors must use the City's bond forms attached to this document. The City of Angleton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality.
