This is a Design-Build (DB) construction project for the complete design of the sprinkler system for the entire building 542 that will be broken up into 4 phases that will coincide with the 4 existing sprinkler risers (P000020, P000021, P000022, and P000024) within the building. Phase 1 shall include a complete sprinkler system designs and installation of approximately one-quarter of the new sprinkler system, replacing the current portion of the sprinkler system fed by the eastern most sprinkler riser (P000020). Follow-on phases should be able to utilize the new design to replace the remaining portions of the sprinkler system. New sprinkler system shall interface with the existing Notifier Fire Alarm system. New sprinkler system design shall comply with all current UFC, UFGS, NFPA, and all other applicable codes, standards, and regulations. This project is located at building 542 at 1601 Langley Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The current sprinkler system shows signs of piping degradation and is in need of replacement. The project will require all site and survey work, engineering, design, labor, material, equipment and supervision required to design and repair the current sprinkler system. This procurement has three (3) option bid items. The first option bid item is CLIN 0002 for construction of Phase 2 in accordance with drawings and specifications. The second option bid item is CLIN 0003 for construction of Phase 3 in accordance with drawings and specifications. The third option bid item is CLIN 0004 for construction of Phase 4 in accordance with drawings and specifications. Contract duration from NTP is 255 calendar days. Proposals good for 90 calendar days.
