The Scope of Work under this contract includes mechanical, electrical, and supporting structural design and engineering related to renovating the existing gym HVAC systems. All work shall commence on the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially completed and operational within three hundred (300) calendar days thereafter and final completion 30 days after. Total contract time shall be 330 days. All Bids shall be Lump Sum Amount. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, which shall be either a certified check made payable to the Worcester County Public Schools or a Bond in a form and by a Surety company approved by the Worcester County Public Schools the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid amount. All responsive Bids shall be held valid for at least sixty (60) calendar days after the Bid Opening date. Additional drawings and specifications for contractors, subcontractors or suppliers are available at cost of printing from Gipe Associates, Inc., 8719 Brooks Drive, Easton, Maryland 21601 (410) 822-8688. Contractors that intend to submit a bid for the project shall obtain their drawings and specifications only from Gipe Associates, Inc., who will be maintaining a bidder list for review by other bidders, subcontractors, and suppliers. Only bidders identified on the list shall receive copy of addenda, clarifications, or other bid revisions. Worcester County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid, or portions thereof, when in their judgment, the public will be better served. The project consists of mechanical/electrical/structural work related to replacing the
existing gym HVAC equipment including automatic temperature controls, piping,
insulation, ductwork, air devices, unit heaters, freeze protection pumps, VFD's, and
supporting electrical/structural work. New air handling units and condensing units shall be
provided along with all supporting work.
