Renovation of a municipal facility in Greeley, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Weld County is seeking proposals for a turn-key lump sum bid to design and install two HVAC systems that would provide the necessary cooling for two IDF rooms. One IDF room is located at the Weld County Human Services Building B at 315 North 11th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado. The second IDF room is located at the Weld County Southeast Services Building at 2590 9th Street, Fort Lupton, Colorado. Questions are submitted online No The scope of this project is to furnish and install two mini split AC units in two separate Weld County buildings per the specifications outlined below. 1. Contractor shall provide a turn-key proposal to design, procure, and install two mini split AC units. One at Human Services Bldg. B and the other at the Southeast Service Center IDF rooms. This will include but not be limited to the following: all labor, materials, equipment, design, and any necessary connections and or tie ins. 2. There is not an existing cooling system in these rooms. 3. Square footage of each room per building is below. All measurements are the contractor's responsibility to verify. A. Human Services = Approximately 150 square feet. B. Southeast = Approximately 300 square feet. 4. Installation can be accomplished during normal business hours if it does not disturb the normal operations of the building or clients, as well as proper notification and scheduling. 5. Each new unit shall meet or exceed the following specifications and requirements: A. Wall mounted interior unit with exterior condenser. B. Units shall be no larger than 12" width x 36" length x 8" deep. C. 208-230/60/1 for Power Supply. D. Minimum 18000 BTU/HR. E. Washable Filter. F. Internal Thermostat control with remote. G. Brushless digitally controlled motor. 6. Any roof penetrations will need to be patched by a contractor that is certified for the roof type that is currently on each building so as not to void any warranties. 7. Contractor is responsible for the routing of all plumbing which should include all liquid, refrigerant, and drain piping that is either to or from the units. 8. Contractor is responsible for any patching or sealing to original condition and finish of any exterior or interior wall, as well as any roof penetrations for routing of plumbing and or electrical. This will include any fire seal that may be required to obtain existing fire rated walls and or surfaces. B2200104 10 9. Contractor is responsible for all electrical routing, cabling, and tie ins to both units as well as the breaker panel. All electrical work will be done by a State licensed and qualified electrician. 10. Contractor is responsible for properly securing the wall mounted interior unit as well as the exterior condenser. Per the manufacturer's specifications and recommendations. 11. Contractor is responsible for all field verification of measurements and conditions to properly execute their scope of work. 12. Electrical panels and locations to help determine routing will be shown at pre-bid conference. 13. Acceptable locations for interior and exterior units as well as acceptable routing will be shown during prebid conference. 14. Contractor will provide maintenance schedule per the manufacturer's recommendation and warranty specifications. 15. All lifting and hoisting equipment shall be provided by the contractor. 16. All damages to building structure and finishes shall be repaired to original condition as a part of this contract. 17. Project will be permitted through Weld County. Fees for Weld County building permit will be waived. Any other fees associated with this project will be paid by the contractor. 18. The projected contract date is expected to be August 29, 2022. Based on this date, provide expected start and finish dates. 19. Work will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, ordinances and regulatory requirements. 20. No bid bond is required for this project. 21. Bids over $50,000 will require a payment (100%) and performance (100%) bond. 22. Contractor will be required to provide professional liability insurance and builders risk insurance in the amount of the bid. Costs for these insurances shall be included in the bid price. 23. All trash and debris to be properly disposed of offsite. 24. Weld County is a tax-exempt entity. 25. Davis-Bacon and Buy American requirements are NOT required. 26. Contractor will be required to enter into a standard Weld County contract for this service. A standard County contract is available through the Weld County Purchasing Department and is available for viewing upon request.
