Site work for a water / sewer project in Norwich, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The completed Work will provide Owner with approximately 2,600 linear feet of lined sanitary sewer pipe with existing material of cast iron pipe or ductile iron pipe with a diameter of 12 inches and includes, but is not limited to, providing all materials, equipment, labor and supervision for pipeline and manhole cleaning, pipeline pre- and post-rehabilitation closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection, sewer pipeline rehabilitation (lining and point repairs), reinstatement of service connections, removal and replacement of air valve assemblies, installation of sanitary sewer by means of open cut and associated work if necessary, complete with all other appurtenances and related work to complete the Contract. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work is located near the Westside Norwich neighborhood of the City ofm Norwich, Connecticut on S. Thames Street, Thames Street, and N. Thames Street. B. The completed Work will provide Owner with approximately 2,600 linear feet of lined sanitary sewer pipe with existing material of cast iron pipe or ductile iron pipe with a diameter of 12 inches and includes, but is not limited to, providing all materials, equipment, labor and supervision for pipeline and manhole cleaning, pipeline pre- and post-rehabilitation closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection, sewer pipeline rehabilitation (lining and point repairs), reinstatement of service connections, removal and replacement of air valve assemblies, installation of sanitary sewer by means of open cut and associated work if necessary, complete with all other appurtenances and related work to complete the Contract. C. Planned work will require excavation at two locations: the downstream end of the alignment at the Cove Street Pump Station and at an access pit in the sidewalk near STA 18+80. The Connecticut Department of Transportation has on-going paving operations and neither excavation will disturb the roadway pavement. The remaining 3 access pits are within existing structures and must be accessed through the manhole cover, without disturbing pavement. D. Material removed from the sewer will be disposed of at the Norwich Water Pollution Control Facility. Contractor to coordinate with NPU. E. The Contractor is to provide all traffic control flaggers.
