Bid Intent Not Available Question Acceptance Deadline Aug 26, 2022 02:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No This is a study project to assess the general condition of the ventilation systems and ducts as well as the accumulation of dust present for all of 400 d'Youville and 105 McGill. The inspection should provide for all basement levels as well as all floors. To meet the schedule, complete the inspections and the report before the end of March 2023. Two or more teams will have to work simultaneously on 400 d'Youville and 105 McGill. This involves inspecting 100% of the main ducts and 15% of the secondary and tertiary ducts. The plans you will find in the appendix are presented for information only and may differ from the existing situation. The reports that you will find in the appendix are examples of standards to be followed and are provided for information purposes only. A study in 2018 recommended the cleaning of ventilation ducts, considering that the study will soon be 5 years old, we must reassess the need and the scope of work required to ensure an adequate level of air quality that meets standards. This study will be the reference point for the upcoming project for the cleaning of ventilation ducts GOC1783986 on which interested bidders can submit a bid (in the future or later) since it is a public tender. . The ventilation contractor must hold NADCA ASCS certification as well as CVI certification. He will be mandated to carry out a visual inspection and an inspection by remote-controlled motorized camera with photos of the ventilation ducts in order to identify the state of cleanliness and/or unsanitary conditions of the systems and ducts, either normal, above normal or heavy dust accumulation. During the visual inspection if the presence of mold is suspected, the contractor will notify the project manager. The ventilation units of each system and their components such as: secondary main ducts, coils, supply and return fans, filters, humidification systems, doors, shutters, etc. will be inspected. Depending on the total number of components to be inspected per system, a minimum percentage will be required. The specialized contractor will carry out all related work such as the dismantling of ceilings, their reinstallation, the protection and movement of furniture, the protection of floors or various equipment. In premises occupied by tenants, protection will be required to protect surfaces because the risk of particles being released into occupied spaces is high. Laboratories will require cleaning. The contractor will provide a detailed schedule of inspections will participate in the management and coordination of requests for access to premises on the different floors. A final report describing the general condition of each system and its ducts inspected as well as the degree of cleanliness will be provided. The report will also mention the defects and the repairs to be carried out on each system if required. In addition, it will contain an estimate of the cleaning and balancing costs for each of the systems to be cleaned as well as a schedule. The specialized contractor will provide two USB keys containing a copy of the electronic report including photos and videos of the component systems and ducts inspected. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
