The Saint Louis Zoo seeks bids from qualified firms to submit proposals for Elephant Moat Modification The Saint Louis Zoo ("Zoo") is seeking proposals from contractors to fill in a moat between yard two and yard three at the Elephant Management Facility. This project will entail removal of barrier cables, storm sewer risers, extending "H" beams by welding extensions to existing, filling the moat with soil, and grading with a rock base. The barrier cables will then be re-strung to complete the job. Per Zoo policy, all individuals working around the Elephant Management Facility must have a TB test on file with the Zoo within the last twelve months. When working inside the building, an N-95 mask must be worn at all times. The cost of the TB test is the responsibility of the contractor. All questions must be received by July 21, 2022 for issuing of addendums. All emailed questions and answers will be shared with all responders. The source of the questions will remain anonymous. A separate cost is required to provide 100% performance and payment bonds for the total cost of this project The Zoo reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects in the Bid or bidding procedures; to reject any or all Bids; to rebid the project at a later date if Bids are rejected; and to accept the Bid that, in the judgment of the Zoo, will serve the best interests of the Zoo, whether or not said Bid is the low Bid.
