Site visit : Upon completion, all contractors will proceed to Cabrillo Elementary School, 3120 Talbot Street, San Diego, CA 92106. Upon completion, all contractors will proceed to Silver Gate Elementary School, 1499 Venice Street, San Diego, CA 92107. Upon completion, all contractors will proceed to Ocean Beach Elementary School, 4741 Santa Monica Avenue, San Diego, CA 92107. Upon completion, all contractors will proceed to Dana Middle School, 1775 Chatsworth Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92106. Upon completion, all contractors will proceed to Point Loma High School, 2335 Chatsworth Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92106. Upon completion, all contractors will proceed to Loma Portal Elementary School, 3341 Browning Street, San Diego, CA 92106. The project estimate is between $750,000 and $850,000. This is not a PSA project and does not require prequalification The District requires that Bidders possess any of the following classification(s) of California State Contractors License(s), valid and in good standing, at the time of bid opening and contract award: B or other appropriate license, subject to District approval. SENATE BILL (SB) 854 REQUIREMENTS: Effective July 1, 2014, no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal, or awarded a contract for a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code 1771.1(a)]. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. DISABLED VETERAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PARTICIPATION PROGRAM: Pursuant to Resolution In Support of Service Disabled Veterans Owned Businesses (SDVOB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) approved on May 10, 2011 by the Board of Education, the Bidder is required to satisfy a minimum DVBE participation percentage of at least three percent (3%) for this project. In compliance with this Program, the Bidder shall satisfy all requirements enumerated in the bid package. Each bid must be submitted on the Bid Form provided in the bid package and shall be accompanied by a satisfactory bid security in the form of either a bid bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company, or a certified or cashier's check in favor of the San Diego Unified School District, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of their bid value. Said bid security shall be given to guarantee that the Bidder will execute the contract as specified, within five (5) working days of notification by the District. Bid Proposals may not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respected Bid Proposals. A successful bidder shall not be relieved of the bid submitted without the District's consent or bidder's recourse to Public Contract Code 5100 et seq.
