Board of County Commissioners, County of Elko, State of Nevada, made at a regular meeting of the Board; said Board will receive bids for the construction of the Metropolis Road Micro-Pave Slurry Project This Project commences at the Wells City Limit and follows the Metropolis Road (CR-754) alignment for approximately 10 miles to where the existing pavement ends. The Project will micro-pave slurry seal the existing road surface Contractors are advised that the estimated cost for the project will require contractors to comply with the requirements for a prevailing wages job. Contractors are advised to pay particular attention to Section 17 of the Instruction to Bidders in the Project Specifications to accurately calculate the wage rates contained in their bid. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled at this time. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked, indicating the subject item of bid enclosed. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check or bid bond for five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid. A bidder shall possess a valid contractor's license pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter 624, at the time of submitting a bid. The acceptance of any bid by the Board of Elko County Commissioners, hereinafter known as the OWNER, shall be contingent upon the bidding party submitting a performance and payment bond prior to signing a contract. The successful bidder will be required to comply with N.R.S. Chapter 338 Public Works Projects. (Pursuant to NRS 338.1379, and 338.1382.) The right is reserved by the Board of Elko County Commissioners to reject any and all bids or to accept such bid as deemed best by said Board, and to waive any technicality in the bid form of the bid.
