Washington County Water Conservancy District (District) is a water conservancy district organized and existing under the Utah Water Conservancy Act. The District is seeking statements of qualificationsfrom qualified design professionalstoprovideengineering design and construction management services for a 10-MG water storage tankat the Quail Creek Water Treatment Plant(procurement item). In 2011, the District constructed a rectangular 10-MG tank. If possible, the District would like to use a common wall of the existing 10-MG tank as part of the construction of the new tank.Thisproject will require the engineering firm to analyze existing conditions and make recommendations for how the new 10-MG tank will be constructed and integrated into the existing operations of the plant. Items of consideration include geotechnical/soil conditions, style of tank, hopper vs. flat bottom construction, baffling options to meet CT credits, etc. In order to be considered for this project, the design professional must have been the engineer of record for at least one conventional water tank of 8-MG or greater, and have experience designing hopper bottom tanks and baffled storage tanks. The engineer must have experiencedesigning tank underdrain and liner systems. Additional experience with post-tensioned and pre-stressed tanks is preferred, but not required.
