Site work and paving for a civil project in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project involves the rehabilitation of the Northbound and Southbound Pottery Road Vehicular Bridges over the Don River. The scope of the Northbound bridge rehabilitation includes the following major items: Asphalt and waterproofing replacement. Concrete patch repairs to inside face and top of barrier wall, top of girders, sidewalk and approach slabs using high early strength concrete (RS-S10). Concrete patch repairs to outside face of barrier wall, parapet wall, girder fascia and soffit using normal concrete. Concrete patch repairs to abutment walls, wingwalls and retaining walls using normal concrete. Replacement of expansion joint assemblies with high early strength concrete (HP-S10) in the joint dams, barrier walls and parapet walls. Application of sidewalk waterproofing. Application of concrete sealer to barrier walls and parapet walls. Remove all cut trees by others as part of access road construction. Remove bird netting installed by others upon completion of construction. The scope of the Southbound bridge rehabilitation includes the following major items: Asphalt and waterproofing replacement. Concrete patch repairs to deck top and approach slabs using high early strength concrete (RS-S10). Removal and replacement of concrete railings. Reconstruction of top and inside face of curbs using normal concrete. Replacement of expansion joint assemblies including high early strength concrete (HP-S10) in the joint dams. Refacing of abutments and wingwalls using normal concrete. Concrete patch repairs to arch ribs, hangers, and concrete posts using normal concrete. Patch repairs to bearing seat, poured monolithically with refacing. Remove bird netting installed by others upon completion of construction.
